About Jim Fly
Jim Fly serves the Austin Graduate School of Theology (Austin Grad) as vice president for enrollment services and development. He helps individuals and organizations who provide financial support for both the Austin Grad degree programs and the Austin Grad professional service programs that assist churches.
A native of the San Francisco bay area, Jim has worked in ministry, chaplaincy, medical sales, and executive leadership assignments in higher education, including fundraising. In his previous assignment before joining Austin Grad, Jim served as the Minister for Neighborhood Evangelism for the RiverWalk Church of Christ, a downtown urban church in Wichita, KS, and he simultaneously served as the leader of an evangelism consortium of ministers, elders and members from 13 Church of Christ congregations in the greater Wichita area.
He holds two degrees from Amberton University in Garland, TX. The first is a Master of Arts in Professional Development, and the second is a Master of Science with a double major in Human Relations and Business. He completed Clinical Pastoral Education for Hospital Chaplains in the Baptist Hospitals in San Antonio, TX. Fundraising training was completed through the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Jim’s Bachelor’s degree was earned at Harding University in Searcy, AR.
Jim and his wife Carol met when both were students at Harding University. Their daughter Jennifer lives with her family in Corsicana, TX and their son Jonathan lives with his family in San Antonio, TX. Jim and Carol have five grandchildren.
