Dr. Don Kinder
Don Kinder had his beginning roots in West Virginia, and then grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. He went on to complete degrees at Abilene Christian College (B.A.), Abilene Christian University (M.A.) and the University of Iowa (Ph.D.). He has ministered to churches in Southern California, Oregon, Iowa and Texas. He also served as the department head of the Bible division at Columbia Christian College, and then as Associate Dean/Professor of Harding School of Theology. Recently he has taught Bible at Korea Christian University in Seoul, Korea. He presently attends the Church of Christ at White Station in Memphis where he serves as a resource person. His creative side often leads him to write and perform one-man presentations of various characters from the Bible. He is the author of several articles as well as a book entitled, Capturing Head and Heart: the lives of six early Stone-Campbell leaders. In his free time, he loves racquetball, hiking, and playing his guitar, banjo and hammered dulcimer. Don is married to Vicki, and they have a married son, Brandon, and a beautiful daughter-in-law, Claire.

Making “THE CHURCH’S FAITH” my faith

As one of the newer online faculty at Austin Grad, I do not come with a lack of experience in online courses.  I have taught and continue to teach online courses for two other seminaries.  What is distinctive and thoroughly delightful about teaching online here is 1) the size of the classes and 2) the extreme relevance of the material.  First, my classes here have always been small.  The advantages of this are obvious.  Not only does this afford more time to thoroughly grade all assignments (the students may not see this as a plus), but all of us come to know each other as friends and are able to share our struggles … [Read more...]
